SensesGiftGallery.com is privately (and proudly) owned, created and operated. The merchandise on our site has been personally tried and/or used by us; and the items on our site have stood the test of time in our real "brick and mortar" store of 10 years. It is our goal to not only give you outstanding quality and service, but to bring joy to as many people as possible through the carefully and lovingly selected items in our webstore. And we welcome your feedback, especially in these early stages of the site.

Product pick up
For those of you who live near the original store, you may still come by and pick up your purchases at our place of business. Just call the numbers listed above or email sensesgiftgallery@mac.com and we'll arrange for it. Pick up times are from 10:30am-Noon, Mon-Sat, and 4:30-6:30pm, Mon-Fri. It would be great to see you again!


Shipping
1. Virtually every order is shipped within 24 hours of receipt (on M-F business days). Items will ship out only on business days, M-F, excluding holidays as determined by carriers.
2. If you order more than one item and one or more is not in stock you will be notified via email or phone as to an estimated ship date. The rest of your in-stock order will ship complete. The back ordered item(s) will ship separately when available, and you will not be charged for shipping.
3. We ship via UPS, standard ground shipping, unless stipulated otherwise at time of checkout (expedited shipping is available at additional cost). Depending on your geographical location in relation to Chicago, regular shipping time ranges from 1 to 4 days. We are not responsible for delays made by the carrier.
4. Items to Alaska and Hawaii ship via Priority service and may require an additional day and fee for delivery.
5. We cannot ship internationally at this time, nor to hospitals or PO Boxes.
6. Your total shipping costs are relative to the total cost of your order. 7. While we make every effort to verify the validity of an address, we rely on your accuracy when sending an order to the address you specify. Please be accurate with your shipping information to avoid delays and extra shipping charges

Returns and exchanges
1. Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are at all displeased with a product, it may be returned, unopened, and in original condition for a refund, exchange, or credit within 15 days of delivery. Between 16 and 30 days, you may return if for a credit or exchange. After 30 days, it cannot be returned.
2. If a product is defective or is damaged during shipment, we will be happy to replace it. Put it back into its original packaging and shipping container and email us regarding the problem. We will give you further instructions.
3. Please note that all returns require notification. Please send us an email including your reason for the return or exchange to sensesgiftgallery@mac.com. You will receive shipping instructions.
4. If a gift recipient wishes to return a gift, we will gladly exchange it for another item or issue a credit for future use.
5. For your security, please return your gift with an insured courier (ie FedEx, UPS, USPS Priority Mail) and retain your receipt. SensesGiftGallery.com is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.
6. Please note, that we cannot refund the original shipping charge.

Gift wrapping and boxing
1. SensesGiftGallery has a signature gift box, ribbon and tissue for every gift, should you wish it. Our gift box (or wrapping paper, whichever is appropriate for the gift), is a handsome oatmeal stripe, with oatmeal tissue, and is tied with an unbleached cotton ribbon, for an understatedly elegant (rather "earthy chic") look. The cost for this is $2.95 for any size package, and should be requested at time of check out.
2. A gift card is included in every gift and includes a special description, if appropriate for your gift. Should you wish a personal greeting to be included, please indicate at time of checkout.

Privacy policy
Your privacy is important to us. We will never sell, rent, loan or disclose your personal information to anyone outside the company and will use this information only for our own internala business purposes. Your credit card information will also not be retained on file.

Security
This site has security measures in place to protect from the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. While all credit card transactions are secure, it is recommended that you "quit" your browser and/or empty your cache when you are done entering sensitive information to further protect you.

The Senses Gift Gallery Shopping Cart uses cookies, which have been used controversially by some Web sites to obtain marketing information without the visitor's knowledge. Our Shopping Cart only uses cookies so that a customer's shopping cart can be remembered between visits. No other information is used in the cookie for any purpose. Customers and Web site administrators may verify this with any of the popular "cookie administration" programs currently available on the market. Under no circumstance can a cookie load or execute a virus on your system, nor can it read and send files or data through the Internet. Browser Technical Information
As noted above, our shopping cart uses a technology called Cookies to work properly. If for any reason your shopping cart doesn't retain product in the basket or returns error messages, check the Preferences or Properties tab of your browser to make sure that Cookies are enabled. This web site also uses Flash on some pages to enhance the Senses Experience.
